The mission
Let's build an AI data center
we own!
A global, peer-to-peer network for local AI — built by the community, for the community.
01 Own the infrastructure
Let's own the infrastructure we use.
- Let's build a decentralized, global, peer-to-peer data center — especially for local AI.
- Let's own our infrastructure, so we can use it from the community, for the community.
- Let's be independent from Big Tech and the clouds.
- Let's be independent from models being made inaccessible.
- Let's be independent from subscriptions and rate limits we can't influence.
- Let's be self-determined.
02 Available for everyone
Let's make local AI available for all of us.
- Use models that others offer that your own machine can't run — someone out there can.
- Not everyone can afford a machine that runs local AI — through the network, everyone can use it anyway.
- Offer some when you can, use some when you need — together we keep local AI within everyone's reach.
- No-GPU users will be able to buy credits to use the network's resources (coming) — the money goes to the people providing resources, and part is pooled and donated to open-source projects, decided by LAPSUS users.
03 Support open source
Let's make AI available for small & open-source projects.
Open-source projects can register a LAPSUS project account and receive
donated compute for their everyday needs — translations, summaries, docs — not heavy
software development (that would eat too much).
- Register in a minute. Get a one-time token, drop it in your repo README, submit the repo URL — we verify you own it automatically (public repo + open-source license). No accounts, no gatekeepers.
- Providers donate directly. Anyone earning credits can send some to a project's account — earmarked support for the tools they love.
- Small and open-source projects get AI compute they couldn't otherwise afford.
Let's be free, and self-determined.
Run a local model, flip the switch, and the commons is real.
